KATANA is the space which expresses Japanese histories, dreams and spirit. There are three fundamental expressions we would like to fulfill.

A space to express to our customers what Japanese history is.

A space to express to our customers authentic Japanese hospitality. Our staffs have been well trained at Ryokan (traditional Japanese hot-spring accommodation).

A space to express to our customers the joyfulness of Japanese ambience and interior design.

Our restaurant’s atmosphere, layout, and furnishings have been selected masterfully to satisfy the expectation of our customers. Please enjoy our skillfully designed, yet fully authentic Japanese food.

KATANA’s executive chef Tetsuya Fukuda

Began his interest in the food industry and started his career at the age of 14.

His uncle ran a Kappou style Japanese restaurant (specializes in serving course meals) in Gunma Prefecture and chef Fukuda gained his basic cooking knowledge from his uncle.

At 17, in order to excel his cooking passion and expand his knowledge, he moved to Cairns, Australia.

Through his working experiences with leading Japanese restaurants in Cairns namely “Sakura” and “Zai” of Sheraton Mirage, he succeeded in deepening his cooking knowledge.

At 22, he returned to Japan after being appointed as a restaurant and sales manager, then later on became a director & chief marketing executive.

He managed several famous restaurants, bars, and party dining places.

“Pont Nagoya” and “M&H PLATA” are some of the fine examples establishments under his management.

In 2016, he appeared on TV program “Iron Chef (Ryouri no Tetsujin)” in Thailand.

He has been in Thailand for nine years and concentrates his effort on passing on his skillful cooking techniques to young generations.

ACCESS

For the customers visiting by car

We have a large free parking space. The easiest access way is through Sukhumvit 23 or 31. At the moment, it’s unavailable to go through Sukhumvit 27 and 29.



For the customers visiting by BTS. 

Please walk to the building “Interchange” by using the footbridge “Skywalk” from Asoke BTS station. Through the building, please come down to Sukhumvit 23, turn left as you came out of the building, keep walking until seeing the first corner, and then please turn right the corner. keep walking until you see a big parking lot “NARZ”

Our restaurant is at the end of the parking lot.



From Phrom Phong BTS station

Please enter Sukhumvit 31 and go down until coming to the intersection you see Seven Eleven. Please turn left the intersection and go along the road until you see the school “Sawadee Wittaya”.

Please turn left soon after the school. And please keep going and turn left at the end of the road. Shortly, you will see a large parking lot “Narz”. Our restaurant is inside it.
